The Wallflowers are an American rock band that was formed in 1989 in Los Angeles by Jakob Dylan (singer, songwriter) and Tobi Miller (guitar).

In 1992, The Wallflowers released their debut album and in 1996 the band released the album Bringing Down the Horse, their best-known and highest-selling album. This album features the songs '6th Avenue Heartache' and 'One Headlight.'

The song 'One Headlight' is about the death of ideas. Singer and songwriter, Jakob Dylan, said that at times, it seems like there should be a code among human beings that is about respect and appreciation.

Dylan however felt that there wasn't much support outside the band putting together the record. 'One Headlight' wasn't released as a single in the US, therefore it wasn't eligible for the Hot 100 chart. However, the song did make it to the No.2 spot on the airplay chart and was a huge success.

In 1998, the band has won 2 Grammy awards for Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal and Best Rock Song for "One Headlight." The song "One Headlight" is also listed at the No.58 spot on the list of the 100 Greatest Pop Songs by Rolling Stone magazine.
