Enjoy!

The Cardigans are a Swedish rock band that was formed in 1992 in Jönköping, Sweden. They consist of Peter Svensson (guitar), Magnus Sveningsson (bass), Lars-Olof Johansson (keyboard), Bengt Lagerberg (drums) and Nina Persson (lead singer), with the line-up unchanged from formation to this day.

The Cardigans band members all lived together in an apartment while they recorded the demo tape that lead to their debut album, Emmerdale. When she was a teenager, Nina Persson had barely sung a note before she was coaxed into becoming the lead singer of the band.

Nina came to the apartment for an audition, even though she has never sung before, but was convinced that she could do it if she tried. Because she couldn't sing with people in the room with her (at that time), everyone left the room and allowed her to sing alone.

Band member, Magnus Svenningson, decided to listen to Nina sing from the outside and placed his ear to the wall. It took him only 30 seconds to know that Nina Persson is the one for their band. He entered the room and told her that that was it and she's hired to be the lead vocalist of the band.

Overall and to this day, The Cardigans had sold more than 15 million albums all over the world.

The song "My Favourite Game" by The Cardigans was written by Peter Svensson and Nina Persson.

In this song, a woman is distraught over the end of her relationship. Her "favourite game" is love, and she is losing. When Nina first heard the song, she thought that it sounded like crap and walked out of the studio.

"My Favourite Game" reached the No.14 spot on the UK chart.
