Enjoy!

The Beatles were an English rock band that was formed in 1960 in Liverpool and consisted of Paul McCartney, John Lennon, Ringo Starr and George Harrison. The Beatles are considered one of the greatest and most influential bands in music history.

There are many interesting and amazing stories when it comes to The Beatles, and with time we here at TixSearcher.com will try to cover some of the more interesting ones, but for now, here is an interesting Beatles fact you may have not known.

The album cover for their Abbey Road album has an interesting story to it. Originally, the plan was to take a private plane over the foothills of mount Everest and shoot the cover of the album there.

However, the band members became increasingly eager to finish the album, so Paul McCartney suggested that they just go outside, take the photo of the album cover there and name it after the street.

During shots 1, 2, 3, 4, and 6, the band members were walking out of step, but it turned out that shot number 5 was actually perfect, and that was the shot that Paul McCartney selected to be the album cover we all know today as Abbey Road.

Aside from being considered one of the best and greatest bands in the history of music, The Beatles are also the best-selling band in history, with estimated sales of more than 800 million physical and digital albums all over the world.

The band had more No.1 albums on the British charts and they sold more singles in the UK than any other band or act. On top of that, they are also the best-selling music artists in the US, with sales of 178 million certified units. In 2008, The Beatles topped the list of the all-time most successful artists done by Billboard magazine, and as of 2017, the band holds the record for most number-one hits on the Hot 100 chart with 20 songs.

The band have won 7 Grammy Awards, one Academy Award for Best Original Song Score and no less than 15 Ivor Novello Awards. In 1988, they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and also, all four main members were inducted individually betweem the years 1994 to 2015.

He wasn't credited on the album's liner notes or anywhere else, but it was Eric Clapton who played lead guitar on The Beatles' song "While My Guitar Gently Weeps."

Eric Clapton and George Harrison were good friends, but Harrison had to convince Clapton to come to the studio because Clapton was worried that the other Beatles members wouldn't want him there.

Eric Clapton's presence actually eased the mood in the studio at a tense time for the band, as they were all at each other's throats during recording of The While Album, but they all relaxed when Eric Clapton showed up.

John Lennon dedicated the song "Don't Let Me Down" to Yoko Ono. It was the first song that Lennon wrote for Ono.

Billy Preston, who The Beatles met when he was on tour with Little Richard in 1962, played keyboards on this song. Preston was one of the few outside musicians that played on any Beatles song.

George Harrison brought Preston in order to smooth tensions in the studio. The presence of a musician that The Beatles respected had a way of making them put aside their own differences.
