Taylor Dayne (real name: Leslie Wunderman) is an American singer, songwriter, and actress who rose to fame in 1987 when the song "Tell It to My Heart" reached the top 10 across no less than 14 international music charts. She also achieved 6 additional U.S. top 10 singles, among them are: "Prove Your Love", "Love Will Lead You Back", and "I'll Always Love You".

When Seth Swirsky wrote the song "Tell It to My Heart," he was actually thinking about Madonna, but when he heard Taylor Dayne sing the song, he knew that she was the right choice for this song.

Taylor Daybe was still known by her real name (Leslie Wunderman) when she sang the demo of this song. "Tell It to My Heart" was released as a 12" single that became an instant hit, thanks to its massive popularity in dance clubs.

Dayne was nominated for three Grammy Awards, an American Music Award, and multiple New York Music Awards. She has also received New York Hall of Fame honors and was ranked at the number 18th spot on the list of Rolling Stoneof the best female dance artists of all-time. In 2016, Billboard magazine ranked Daybe at the 28th spot on the list of most successful dance artist of all-time.

Taylor Dayne has sold more than 75 million records all over the world, which makes her one of the world's best-selling music artists.
