Suede are an English alternative rock band the were formed in 1989 in London. The band consists of Brett Anderson (vocals), Richard Oakes (guitar), Mat Osman (bass), Simon Gilbert (drums) and Neil Codling (keyboard/rhythm guitar).
When Suede placed an advert for a drummer, to their surprise, Mike Joyce who is a radio DJ nowdays and the former drummer of The Smiths was the one who answered it. Eventually, Joyce turned down the job, but not before recording and producing two songs with Suede, "Art" and "Be My God."
I guess current drummer Simon Gilbert is not too sad about it...
