Prince (real name: Prince Rogers Nelson) was an American singer, songwriter, record producer, musician filmmaker. He was known for his flamboyant stage presence, electric work, extravagant sense of fashion and use of makeup, and his wide vocal range.

Prince integrated different music styles in his music, including poprock, funk, R&B, soul, new wave and even psychedelia. Prince actually shunned collaborations and turned down an offer to duet with Michael Jackson in the '80s, and also refused to perform on "We Are The World".

On the other hand, he shared his talent with other artists and musicians as he wrote many hit songs for several other artists, including: "I Feel For You" for Chaka Khan, "Manic Monday" for The Bangles, "Jungle Love" for Morris Day And The Time, "The Glamorous Life" for Sheila E, "Nothing Compares 2 U" for Sinead O'Connor and more.

Prince has sold more than 100 million records all over the world, which makes him one of the best-selling music artists of all timeHe also won six American Music Awards, eight Grammy AwardsGolden Globe Awardand even an Academy Award for the movie Purple Rain from 1984. In 2004, Prince was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Unfortunately, on April 21, 2016, Prince had died due to an accidental overdose of fentanyl. He was 57 years old.
