Pink (real name: Alecia Beth Moore) is an American singer, songwriter, dancer, and actress.

Here are a few interesting facts about Pink:

1. As stated earlier, Pink's real name is Alecia Beth Moore and her childhood nickmame was "Pink" as she was easily embarrassed, which caused her to turn bright Pink.

2. Pink had asthma as a child, and helped develop her singing voice when she learned how to breathe properly to treat the condition.

3. When she was 14 years old, Pink began writing her own songs. She was spotted one night by an executive for MCA, who asked Pink to audition, which eventually led to signing with L.A. Reid/Babyface Label Laface.

Pink's debut studio album Can't Take Me  Home which she released in 2000, was certified double-platinum in the US and spawned two Billboard Hot 100 Top 10 songs: "Most Girls" and "There You Go." She gained further fame and recognition with the single "Lady Marmalade" from the Moulin Rouge! soundtrack, a single that topped many music charts all over the world.

So far during her music career, Pink has won 3 Grammy Awards, 7 MTV Video Music Awards, 1 Brit Award and Daytime Emmy Award. In 2009, Billboard named her the Pop Songs Artist of the Decade.

During the 2000s, she was the second most-played female solo artist in the UK, behind MadonnaVH1 ranked Pink on the No.10 on their list of the 100 Greatest Women in Music, while Billboard awarded her the Woman of the Year award in 2013.

Pink has sold more than 90 million records all over the world, which makes her one of the world's best-selling music artists.
