Gabrielle (real name: Louise Gabrielle Bobb) is an English singer and songwriter, known for her ptosis, the drooping of one eyelid.

Before making it as a singer, Gabrielle had dreams of becoming a lawyer. Her trademark accessory is an eye patch over her right eye, which has nothing to do with piracy, as she was born with a droopy eyelid.

Gabrielle is also one of the few artists to legally sample a Bob Dylan song, when Dylan agreed to let Gabrielle use part of the song "Knocking On Heaven's Door" on her track, "Rise."

Her debut single "Dreams" was released in 1993 and it topped the UK singles chart that same year. Other known singles by Gabrielle are: "Walk On By", "Going Nowhere", "Give Me a Little More Time" and more.
