Billie Myers is an English rock singer and songwriter that is best known principally for her 1998 hit, "Kiss the Rain".

The song "Kiss the Rain" was written by Billie Myers, Desmond Child and Eric Bazilian. According to Bazilian, the song is based on the experiences of all of them, a common ground where you draw on shared and common experiences.

Desmond Child, who produced the album, got the idea for the title of the song after hearing the song "Glycerine" by Bush on the radio. The lead singer of Bush, Gavin Rossdale has a thick accent, and so, Desmond thought he was singing "kiss the rain."

When Desmond found out he wasn't actually singing "kiss the rain", he decided to use it for a song that he and Billie Myers were working on.
