Enjoy!

Berlin are an American new wave band that was formed in 1978 in Orange County, California. Berlin consists of Terri Nunn (vocals), John Crawford (bass, vocals), Ric Olsen (guitar), David Diamond (keyboards), Rod Learned (drums) and Matt Reid (keyboards).

They gained success with the chart-topping "Take My Breath Away" from the 1986 film Top Gun, as well as hit singles like "No More Words" and "Sex (I'm A...)."

Berlin's most famous and successful song "Take My Breath Away" was a bit different at the time, yet it achieved great success. Most synthesizer-based hits of the era were uptempo tunes, but the song "Take My Breath Away" was actually a rare synth ballad. The song worked because the drone that plays throughout the song, creates an unusual rhythm that makes the vocals stand out.

The use of the song in the movie Top Gun from 1986, of-course helped its exposure a lot. The song eventually won an oscar for Best Original Song.
