The Baha Men are a Bahamian band that was formed in 1980, playing a modernized style of Bahamian music known as junkanoo. The band is best known for their hit song 'Who Let the Dogs Out?' which also won the Grammy Award.

The song 'Who Let the Dogs Out?' was written by Anslem Douglas, a musician from Trinidad. He wrote the song two years before the Baha Men recorded it.

Various versions were hits in the Caribbean, but the Baha Men toned down the calypso rhythm to make it more appealing to American listeners. A key component of the song is the bellowing voice that asks the question, "who let the dogs out." Every group member auditioned for this line, and eventually it went to Marvin Prosper, a vocalist in the band.
