Enjoy!

The B-52's are an American new wave band that was formed in 1976 in Athens, Georgia. The original line-up of the band consisted of Fred Schneider (vocals), Kate Pierson (vocals, keyboards), Cindy Wilson (vocals, percussion), Ricky Wilson (lead guitar) and Keith Strickland (drums, rhythm guitar, keyboards). In 1985, Ricky Wilson died due to AIDS related ilness, so Keith Strickland replaced the drums with the lead guitar.

One of the band's most known and successful songs is "Love Shack" which reached the No.3 spot on the U.S. chart and the No.2 spot on the U.K. chart, and this song is our interesting fact of the day.

The song itself is a harmless song, the the lyrics can be interpreted as being about a place where people go to have sex. However, 'Love Shack' is in many ways a state of mind, a place where people of all stripes come for a groovy good time. Disney World on the other hand, refuse to play "Love Shack" at Disney weddings.
