Scorpions are a German rock band that was formed in Hanover in 1965 by guitarist Rudolf Schenker. The musical style of the band ranged from hard rock to heavy metal.

Scorpions have had several line-up changes over the course of their music career, with the most successful one being the one from 1978–1992. It included Klaus Meine (vocals), Matthias Jabs (lead guitar), Rudolf Schenker (rhythm guitar), Francis Buchholz (bass guitar) and Herman Rarebell (drums).

Scorpions have had many successful singles and albums, one of these songs is "Still Loving You" which we will discuss about right now. The song "Still Loving You" is a very emotional song of love, pain and wishing for another chance.

Rudolf Schenker came up with the composition's melody, Matthias Jabs came in with the guitar part of the song and Klaus Meine wanted wanted to write something that was special.

So, one day, Klaus decided to go out into the fields in the snow and it was then that he came up with the lyrics to the song, which entered the singles charts worldwide. It was especially popular in France, topping the chart, but that's not all.

"Still Loving You" was so popular in France, that it may have increased the population of the country, I kid you not. The song is ranked on the 22nd spot of the greatest ballads list of songs.

Scorpions have released 18 studio albums, 27 compilation albums and 74 singles. They have sold more than 110 million records all over the world, with 6 of their singles topping the charts in different countries. Their singles, albums, compilations and video releases have reached 200 times gold, platinum and multi-platinum status in various countries around the world.

Rolling Stone Magazine described the band as "the heroes of heavy metal". MTV called Scorpions "Ambassadors of Rock", and VH1 ranked them on the 46th spot on their Greatest Artists of Hard Rock programme.

Scorpions have received many awards, like: a star on the Hollywood Rock wall, 3 World Music Awardsand even a presence in the permanent exhibition of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

The song "No One Like You" by Scorpions was the band's breakout song in the US, where the song topped the mainstream rock chart.

Scorpions are from Germany, but their songs succeded in English speaking countries. Guitarist of the band, Rudolf Schenker said that this success is probably because they explain things differently, and they go very deep inside with the music and the lyrics.

The band has a different view, and so people start liking this view because it's not the same as the views of other people.
