Enjoy!

Rush was a Canadian rock band that formed in 1968 and was composed of Neil Peart (drums, percussion, lyrics)  Geddy Lee (bass, vocals, keyboards) and Alex Lifeson (guitars).

Rush was known for its musicianship, complex compositions, and eclectic lyrical motifs which they drew heavily on fantasy, science fiction and philosophy. Their musical style has changed several times over the years it ranged from a blues-inspired hard rock at their beginning, to progressive rock later on. They even had a period which was defined by heavy use of synthesizers. In the early 1990s, the band returned to a guitar-driven hard rock sound, that continued up until the break up of the band.

As for the band's name, ever wondered how Rush decided about their name? It goes like this: Rush first got a job to play at a coffee house called "coff-in". While they had dreamed of playing, they actually forgot to come up with a name for their band.

With no time left to contemplate, they were not able to come up with a name to the band, until John Rutsey's older brother yelled: "Why don't you call the band Rush?", and that's how they got to be known as Rush.

Rush is ranked on the 86th spot with sales of 25 million units in the U.S. according to the RIAA, although some industry sources estimate that Rush sold more than 65 million units worldwide as of 2017. They have been awarded 24 gold, 14 platinum, and 3 multi-platinum albums.

Rush has received nominations for 7 Grammy Awards, won several Juno Awards and an International Achievement Award at the 2009 SOCAN Awards. In 1994 they were inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame and in 2013 into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
