Opus is an Austrian pop-rock group that was formed in 1973 in Graz, and are best known for their hit song "Live Is Life" from 1985.

The song "Live Is Life" was created during a concert in Oberwart on 2 September, 1984, while Opus celebrated their eleventh anniversary. The song is recorded in a live version with the audience singing along in the verses.

In the lyrics, the song "Live Is Life" expresses the enthusiastic attachment of the band to the stage. The song was performed during the 1985 charity campaign, "Austria Fur Afrika."
