Billy Squier is an American rock musician that has a string of arena rock hits during the 1980s. He is known for hits such as: "The Stroke", "In the Dark", "Everybody Wants You", "Lonely Is the Night" and more.
In 1982, Billy Squier gave an interview to Sounds magazine, where he said that he does not write songs when he's on the road, and as a result, this keeps him away from topics like parties and groupies.
Squier also talked about his hit song "Lonely Is the Night", and said that the song has nothing to do with the fact that he's in a rock band, but it does have to do with the fact that you can be by yourself in a room somewhere and not know what to do, be scared to death of having to go out and find something.
