1969: The Rolling Stones held a photo call in Hyde Park in order to introduce their new guitarist, Mick Taylor. Taylor who was 20 year-old then and a former member of John Mayall's Bluesbreakers, made his live debut with The Rolling Stones a month later at a free concert in Hyde Park, London.

1970: The Beatles started a two week run at the top of the US singles chart with 'The Long And Winding Road', their 20th US No.1. Also on the same day, their album 'Let It Be' started a four-week run at the top of the US album chart. The 12th and final studio album by The Beatles, was recorded in January of 1969, before the recording and release of Abbey Road.

1972: Clyde McPhatter, the original lead vocalist of The Drifters, died of a heart attack in New York. He joined Billy Ward & the Dominoes in 1950 and formed The Drifters in 1953. He also achieved some several solo hits, including 'Lover Please,' and was posthumously inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1987.

1975: Peter Frampton played the first of two nights at the Winterland Ballroom, San Francisco, California. The Recordings from the two shows, were later used as part of his No.1 double album 'Frampton Comes Alive'. The album became the best-selling album of 1976, as it sold more than 6 million copies in the US. This album was also voted "Album of the year" in the 1976 by Rolling Stone magazine readers poll. It stayed on the chart for 97 weeks.

1995: Alanis Morissette released Jagged Little Pill. The album sold more than 30 million copies all over the world and made Alanis Morissette the first female Canadian that scored a US No.1 album. The album features the hits: 'Hand in My Pocket', 'You Oughta Know', 'You Learn' and 'Ironic'.

2003: Arctic Monkeys made their live debut at The Grapes pub in Sheffield, England. The band members received £27 from ticket sales.

2015: Rapper MC Supreme (Dewayne Coleman) was killed in Malibu, California when a pickup truck hit his parked car on the shoulder of the Pacific Coast Highway. The 47 years old performer was pronounced dead at the scene. The truck driver was arrested on suspicion of DUI.
