1965: Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin, released a solo single called 'She Just Satisfies' in the UK. He played all the instruments on the track except for the drums, produced the track, and also sang the lead vocals.

 

1966: Rubber Soul by The Beatles topped the US album chart. It was the band's seventh US album to top the chart.

1977: The Eagles topped the US singles chart with 'New Kid On Town', the band's third US No.1, and also a No.20 hit n the UK.

1980: After seeing U2 play at Dublin's National Boxing Stadium in front of 2,400 people, the band were offered a recording contract by Bill Stewart and Rob Partridge from Island Records in the UK.

1983: Thriller by Michael Jackson topped the US album chart. The album became the most successful album of all time, selling more than 50 million copies.

 

2001: The Darkness made their live debut when they performed at Camden HQ. It was a tribute concert in order to raise money for the family of Ed's band mate from his previous band Q-Sling, who had committed suicide earlier that month.
