Snoop Dogg (real name: Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr.) is an American rapper, record producer, singer, songwriter, actor and television personality.

Snoop's real name is Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr. and his mother is the one who nicknamed him Snoop. As a kid, Snoop loved the Peanuts Cartoons, especially the character of Snoopy.

Before Snoop was famous, you could find him at the local Lucky's Supermarket, where he was bagging groceries at the checkout line. He got his start in rap making tapes along with his cousin, Nate Dogg and his good friend Warren G.

Warren G is the step-brother of Dr. Dre and he brought the two together. After Snoop Dogg worked on the soundtrack to the movie Deep Cover, Dr. Dre put him to work on his album The Chronic, which showcased Snoop Dogg's laid-back style.
