Enjoy!

Enya (real name: Eithne Pádraigín Ní Bhraonáin) is an Irish singer, songwriter and musician.

She was born into a musical family and raised in the Irish-speaking area of Gweedore in County Donegal, and began her music career when she joined her family's Celtic band Clannad in 1980 on keyboards and backing vocals.

Enya's producer, Nicky Ryan, helped her come up with her ethereal sound by having her record lots of vocals tracks and then working them into the mix, essentially using her voice as an instrument.

Enya has never gone on a concert tour, despite being Ireland's best-selling solo artist and second overall behind U2. Enya won the Grammy Award for Best New Age Album for her 1991 album Shepherd Moons, which remained on the Billboard charts for 199 consecutive weeks. She also won the same award for her albums A Day Without Rain, Amarantine and The Memory of Trees.

Apart from her Grammy Award winnings, Enya has also won seven World Music Awards and an Ivor Novello Award.

Another interesting facts about Enya is that she still sings in her mother's choir at midnight mass on Christmas at St. Mary's church in Derrybeg.

Overall, Enya has sold 26.5 million certified albums in the U.S. and an estimated 75 million records all over the world, which makes her one of the bestselling music artists of all time.
