Did You Know? Queen's Guitarist Brian May Has a PhD in Astrophysics

As if being an accomplished songwriter and the guitarist of one of the greatest bands in the world of music (Queen) wasn't enough, Brian May also has a PhD degree in Astrophysics from Imperial College London.

He obtained his BSc Hons before the band became very successful but had to put his studies on hold in order to become a full-time musician for Queen.

In 2007, May returned to university and completed his PhD. That's not the end of the story as May also co-wrote a book with Sir Patrick Moore and Chris Lintott, titled "Bang! – The Complete History of the universe."

May also co-authored and published 2 research papers and even a more interesting fact about Brian May, is that the asteroid 52665 Brianmay was named after him.
