Sir Cliff Richard (real name: Harry Rodger Webb) is a British musician, singer, musician, actor, performer and philanthropist.

Cliff Richard was first marketed as a rebellious rock and roll singer in the style of Little Richard and Elvis presley and with the Shadows (Richard's backing group), he dominated the British popular music scene during the late 1950s to early 1960s, the times before The Beatles started dominating the music world.

Here are a few interesting facts you may not know about Cliff Richard:

1. He has had more than 130 records make the Top 20 ok the UK singles chart, which is more than any other artist.

2. He is the only singer that had a No.1 single in the UK in five cosecutive decades, from the 1950s to the 1990s.

3. He has achieved 9 US Top 40 singles, including the songs "We Don't Talk Anymore" and "Devil Woman."

4. He received his knighthood on October 25, 1995 and was the first pop star that was honored.

During his 60 years music career, Richard has achieved and won many gold and platinum discs and awards, including two Ivor Novello Awards as well as three Brit Awards.

Cliff Richard has sold more than 21 million singles in the United Kingdom and is the third-top-selling artist in UK Singles Chart history, just behind The Beatles and Elvis Presley.
