Bad Company are an English hard rock supergroup that were formed in 1973 in Westminster, London and consists of Paul Rodgers (singer) and Simon Kirke (drums) who are former Free members, Mick Ralphs (guitar) who is former Mott the Hoople member and Boz Burrell (bass) who is former King Crimson member.

According to Simon Kirke, drummer of Bad Company, they got the name to their band from a 1972 western by the name of Bad Company, starring Jeff Bridges. However, Paul Rodgers, singer of the band, later refuted this, saying that the name of the band came from a book he read when he was young.

Bad Company were also the first band that recorded for Led Zeppelin's record label, Swan Song. The band recorded their first album at Headley Grange which is the mansion where Led Zeppelin recorded many of their own songs and tracks. The two band even shared the same manager, who was Peter Grant.

Bad Company enjoyed great success throughout the 1970s, with three of the band's albums reaching the top five in the album charts in UK and US. Even today, many of the band's songs are considered as rock classics and are played on the radio stations. The band is still active and tours around the world.
