1. Ricky Henderson of the Oakland A's did not cash his first million-dollar check; instead, he decided to frame it and hang it on the wall.

2. Kobe Bryant took pop superstar Brandy Norwood to his senior prom. During his senior year he closed a nice deal with Adidas and slow danced with the star of TV show "Moesha" to the sounds of Bush's song "Glycerine."

3. 68% of professional hockey players have lost at least one tooth in a game, according to a Detroit Free Press poll.

4. Before Michael Jordan closed his deal with Nike, he actually preferred Adidas. I guess they couldn't match Nike's offer of $500,000 for 5 years. Think they're still sorry about it? You damn right they are!

5. Hard to believe but during the 1904 Olympics, Fred Lorz cheated his way to a marathon win by riding for 11 miles in a car. He ran the first 9 miles of the race before jumping with his manager to a car and ride with it for the next 11 miles. The car broke down near Mile 20, so Fred Lorz ran this final stretch of the race to grab the first place and win it. He received the gold medal for this victory but later on was disqualified due to eyewitnesses reporting his use of the car.

6. According to the National Chicken Council (via Wall Street Journal), approximately 1.25 billion chicken wings are consumed on Super Bowl Sunday.

7. According to Gina Hall of BizJournals.com, CBS charged approximately between $3.8 million and $4 million for a 30-second spot during Super Bowl XLVII.

8. This is truly an amazing story. Mike Kekich and Fritz Peterson of the New York Yankees swapped lives in 1973 and that meant trading cars, wives and even children. This deal worked out pretty well for Fritz Peterson which remained married to Kekich's ex for more than 40 years after this swap. On the other hand, Kekich split with Peterson's former wife just shortly after the swap. Crazy!!!

9. Bulgaria was the only soccer team in the 1994 World Cup in which all 11 players' last names ended with the letters "OV."

10. Pittsburgh is the only city where all major sports teams have the same colors of black and gold.
